
The Bullies' Chain of Command is a fine mix of experienced combat
veterans and energetic young leaders. Three of the four squad leaders
were members of the original platoon that deployed in support of
OIF 1, with the exception of the Platoon Leader, 2LT Jarrow, who
was busy studying warfighting at the United States Military Academy
at West Point, and SSG Dzwik, 3rd Squad leader, who was stuck on
recruiting detail counting down the days until he could be a leader

PLATOON LEADER: 2LT Tate
Jarrow
Hometown: Ithaca, New York
Birthday: 28 July 1982
Age: 22
Biography: 2LT Jarrow was born and raised in Ithaca, NY. He grew
up playing soccer and enjoying the outdoors that surrounded his
childhood home. After graduating from Ithaca High School in 2000,
he attended the United States Military Academy at West Point. At
West Point, LT Jarrow participated in intramural soccer, cross country,
and paintball programs, as well as the Sandhurst competition. He
studied math and computer science there, and also participated in
the Scoutmasters' Council, a club that brings boy scouts and girl
scouts from all over the country to see West Point throughout the
year. As a senior, LT Jarrow served as Brigade Executive Officer
of the United States Corps of Cadets. During his time there he also
had the opportunity to attend and graduate from the US Army Air
Assault School at Camp Smith, NY.
On 29 May 2004, LT Jarrow graduated 6th in his class from West
Point and was commissioned a 2LT in the United States Army. He was
fortunate enough to be assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade as
his first duty station. Prior to coming to Italy, LT Jarrow trained
at Ft. Benning, and attended and graduated from the Infantry Officer
Basic Course, Ranger School, and Airborne school.
LT Jarrow arrived at Caserma Ederle in Vicenza on 6 May 2005, and
immediately began preparing to deploy to Afghanistan to join Chosen
company and take over 1st Platoon. After a month in Italy, he attended
the Individual Readiness Training course in Germany, and arrived
in Afghanistan on 13 June 2005. He then joined Chosen Company, and
after 10 days of familiarization with Chosen Company, LT Jarrow
took over 1st Platoon. He is now living the dream.

PLATOON SERGEANT:
SFC David Cavataio
Hometown: Addison, IL
Birthday: 26 July 1974
Age: 30
Biography: SFC Cavataio was born in Melsrose Park,
Illonois in 1974. Growing up he enjoyed baseball, football, and
fishing. He graduated from Addison Trail high school in 1992. He
enlisted in the U.S. Army at age 18. In December of 1992 he completed
basic training and shipped out to his first Unit, 1-8 Infantry in
beautiful FT. Carson Colorado. Once his stint with the 4th Infantry
Division was complete he moved out to Korea. From 1994 to 1995 he
served with the 1-5 Infantry in the 2nd Infantry Division.
In 1995 SFC Cavataio attended Airborne School
at Fort Benning Georgia. He moved to FT Bragg and was immediately
sent to Ranger School. After spending a few extra weeks with the
gators down in Florida phase, SFC Cavataio eventually graduated
in 1996. Immediately following he attended LRSLC. Thus, as an E4
Airborne Ranger, SFC Cavataio found a home at FT Bragg with F Co,
51st INF LRSC.
In October of 1998 SFC Cavataio made his way to
FT Campbell, Kentucky. He was initially in 2-327 INF and finished
up in 3-327 INF. While at FT Campbell, He served in numerous leadership
positions to include Team Leader, Squad Leader, Weapons Squad Leader,
and even Platoon Sergeant. Furthermore, he spent his hardest 10
days in the Army at FT Campbell when he attended Air Assault School
in 1999.
SFC Cavatiao’s greatest military achievement
was helping stand up 1st Platoon, Chosen Company as Weapons Squad
Leader in October of 2002. He then deployed to Iraq with 1st Platoon
and lead his squad on numerous combat missions. While in Iraq, in
August of 2003, he became the Brigade Battle NCO in the BDE S3 shop.
His deft military skills were put to good use as he tracked the
flow of day to day tactical operations in Northern Iraq.
In September of 2004, SFC was anxiously welcomed
back as the Platoon Sergeant of 1st Platoon, Chosen Company. Since
then, his leadership has helped guide the platoon to daily training
success as well as constant development of the PL and NCOs.
SFC Cavataio's son, Nicholas Anthony Cavataio,
is 5 years old. SFC Cavataio enjoys cruising Italy in his black,
all-American muscle machine -- a 1988 Ford Mustang GT.

1ST SQUAD LEADER: SSG Joseph Pratt
Hometown: Muskogee, OK
Birthday: 18 April 1975
Age: 30
Biography: SSG Pratt is from from Muskogee Oklahoma and enlisted
in the Army in 1995. He has been on real world deployments to Kuwait,
United Arab Emirates, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo,
and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He participated in the Brigade’s
combat jump into Bashur Iraq. SSG Pratt has served as 1st, 2nd,
3rd, and Wpns squad leader. He is currently the leader of first
squad, who in September of 2004 was awarded the Minucci Cup for
the best line squad in Chosen Company.
Over the years he has been assigned to 3/15 infantry, 1/6 Infantry,
and 2/327 Infantry (Air Assault). “Field Marshall” Pratt
is the most decorated Paratrooper in the platoon. His awards and
decorations include Bronze Star medal with ‘V’ device,
Purple Heart medal, Army Commendation Medal x 2, Army Achievment
medal x 4, National Defense Medal x 2, Army Expeditonary Medal,
GWOT Expeditionary medal with Arrowhead, GWOT Service medal, Armed
Forces Service medal, UNPREDEP medal, NATO medal, Kosovo Campaign
medal, and the Southwest Asia service medal. SSG proudly wears the
Expert Infantryman Badge, Combat Infantryman Badge, Basic Parachutist
Badge, Combat Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and Italian
Parachutist Badge.
SSG Pratt has been happily married for one year to his lovely wife,
Stacy. On his down time SSG Pratt enjoys hiking, visiting historic
and religious sites with his wife, and reading ponderous volumes
of Military history and discussing them with anyone he can corral
into listening.

2ND SQUAD LEADER: SSG Christopher Choay
Hometown: Corsicana, TX
Birthday: 17 January 1980
Age: 24
Biography: SSG Choay is the commander of task
force 1-2, also known as 2nd Squad. He was born in the South Pacific
to a very religious family of 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He attended
high school in Texas, where he played football for four years. After
high school SSG Choay decided to serve his country in order to improve
his maturity and develop a strong sense of discipline. The Army
was his choice. SSG Choay attended basic training in 1998 and graduated
the same year.
Upon graduation he was assigned to a recon element
in Germany. This element taught him more about life and himself
than he would have ever immagined. He learned that when one will
only settle for the best, that is what he will get. This unit sent
SSG Choay to Ranger school, International Long Range Recon School,
Airborne school, and other interesting schools where he was constantly
dealing with and learning about foreign allies.
One year later SSG Choay was assigned to the Polar
Bears, 4/31 Infantry Charlie Co at Fort Drum, New York. It was here
that he went to combat for the first time and put his knowledge
to the test. Operation Enduring Freedom rolled in and provided SSG
Choay with the first true test of character and discipline he had
hoped to experience in the Army. When SSG Choay was stationed in
New York he met his beautiful wife, Mellissa, whom is his mentor
and guardian angel.
SSG Choay left Fort Drum and was assigned to 2-503rd
Airborne Battalion in Vicenza, Italy. In 2002 SSG Choay was given
the greatest gift ever. His son Christopher was born and instantly
became his hero. Soon after, SSG Choay was selected to do another
combat mission with Chosen Co 2/503rd by parachuting in combat as
a fire team leader. He lost two best friends and brothers in this
theater, but they will never be forgotten.
SSG Choay served half of a year with recon elements
as a team leader and assistant team leader. He is currently serving
with the best band of brothers he has ever seen and he is preparing
his soldiers to fight the enemies of freedom. SSG Choay is currently
the squad leader of 1st platoon 2nd squad Chosen Co 2/503rd, the
greatest brotherhood in the world. Island Pride! Rangers Lead the

3RD SQUAD LEADER: SSG David Dzwik
Hometown: Traverse City, Michigan
Birthday: 24 May 1977
Age: 28
Biography: SSG Dzwik was born in Elmhurst, IL and raised in Traverse
City by his mother and father and his 2 brothers. He joined the
Army on July 25th, 1995 as an airborne infantryman. After completing
Basic course, AIT, and Airborne school, he was assigned to D Co,
1/187th IN (101st Airborne). In December 1998 he PCSed to Ft. Bragg
and was assigned to 3/504th IN. After being promoted to SSG, he
was pegged against his will for recruiter duty in Traverse City,
for the Great Lakes Recruitying Battalion.
In his spare time SSG Dzwik enjoys hunting and fishing and spending
time with his family.
SSG Dzwik has complete airborne, air assault school, and is awarded
the Expert Infantrymen's Badge, the Gold recruiting badge, 3 ARCOMs,
5 AAMs, 3 GCMS, and the NATO ribbon.
SSG Dzwik's inspiration to be a paratrooper came from his father,
who served in Vietnam and taught his son patriotism. His words continue
to inspire SSG Dzwik:

WEAPONS SQUAD LEADER: SSG Robert
Anderson
Hometown: Riverside, CA
Birthday: 4 November 1975
Age: 28
Biography: SSG Robert J. Anderson was born in Fontana, Ca. and
raised in San Bernardino, California. He is 29 years of age and
has one older sister and two younger sisters. In 1994 he graduated
from San Andreas high school. He enlisted in the military in July
of 1996. Upon graduation from AIT he was assigned to 1-21 Infantry
of the 25th Infantry Division Schofield Barracks Hawaii. SSG Anderson
reenlisted for the 101st ABN Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell,
Ky. While assigned to the 101st ABN Division he was assigned to
2-187 Inf. RAKKASAN’S where he served as a Team Leader and
Squad Leader.
SSG Anderson deployed to Afghanistan as a Squad Leader in support
of Operation Enduring Freedom and participated in Operation Anaconda.
Two days after returning from Operation Anaconda, SSG reenlisted
for Vicenza, Italy. Upon arrival to Italy he was assigned to Chosen
Co 2/503 Infantry as a Team Leader and participated in the combat
parachute assault into Bashur. While in Iraq SSG Anderson assumed
the Squad leader position of 2nd Squad. When he returned from Iraq
he assumed the Weapon’s Squad Leader position, which he still
holds.
Through out his career he has been awarded the Combat Infantryman’s
Badge, Combat Parachutist’s Wings, Basic Parachutist’s
Wings, Air Assault Wings, Bronze Star Medal w/ “V”,
Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal X3, Army Achievement
Medal, Good Conduct Medal, GWOTEM w/ Arrowhead, GWOTSR, National
Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Non Commissioned
Officer Professional Development Ribbon.
When he isn’t training you can usually find SSG Anderson
falling off of his skateboard.
