The Return to Zamto Kalay

For 12 days, 3rd Platoon conducted continuous operations in Mianeshin District, maintaining a presence in and around Zamto Kalay, Chenartu, and Spin Kechah as well as participating in a company air assault into the Spin Kechah area in order to capture a number of Taliban medium-level leaders.

On the way up to Zamto Kalay, 3rd Platoon ran into a convoy of engineers building a new base. Encountering enemy in the hills, Afghan National Army and US ETT controlers prepare to engage them with mortar fire.
