Chalbar



For nearly a week, the members of first platoon operated with the rest of Chosen Company in Chalbar Valley. This was the largest battle to date that our company has been involved in. Since Operation Anaconda in 2001, this is the single largest battle fought in Afghanistan. When all was said and done, excellence was achieved. With the support of American Forces, the Government of Afghanistan grew much stronger; the Taliban was reduced in numbers and crippled in their influence over the region. The bullies honorably distinguished themselves, yet again, as warriors and as the best platoon in the company. The Bullies stayed behind to conduct BDA, Battle Damage Assessment, of 21 June, and stayed a week working with Afghan National Army and Afghan National Police forces.
