This piece of information comes from Sue Harper, of Oregon:

"The Postal Service has finally come up with flat rate boxes for shipping Priority Mail. These are ideal for sending care packages. There are two sizes: 11"x8.5"x5.5" (Item O-FRB1) and 12"x14"x3.5" (Item O-FRB2). They can be stuffed as full as possible and weigh up to 70 lbs for a shipping fee of $7.70. This is a real bargain for any weight over 3 lbs.

The boxes can be obtained free at any post office or on-line at www.USPS.com. On line, the minimum order quantity is 25.”
